I am picking up my new Z tomorrow - 1993 2+2 Midnight Blue. I have another one in storage in the UK (1990 2+2 Grey) that I was going to bring over when I returned to Oz last December - then I found they have changed all the rules here. It will not become eligible to import until one month after its 15th birthday - Aug 05! I just can't wait that long so I am buying another one. However, my request for info relates to wheels - my intention is to replace the stock alloys at some point. My guess is that all 5 stud bolt patterns are not the same, so if I see a set of wheels advertised on ebay or whatever, how do I identify whether they will fit a Z? Is there a listing of compliant types somewhere? Regardsangrybearps this is my first post...

Your UK Z might well have been the first Euro spec Z on the forum! I presume it was also a TT?
Regarding wheels, you need to make sure the bolt pattern has a 114.3mm diameter. You will also need to ensure offsets are correct and that brake caliper clearance is OK. Personally I would steer clear of buying used wheels unless they came off another Z or were specifically stated to fit a Z32 - unless of course you have the opportunity to a test fit without cost penalty.Cheers, Mike.

Thanks everyone - and re the Zed in the UK

it is not a Euro spec, it is a J-Spec, and it is a TT. Japanese imports of all types are quite comon over there and insurance isn't too difficult. One of the reasons for the popularity of the Japanese stuff is that roads aren't salted in Japan during the winter time where the Brits do it at the drop of a hat - it is a mixture of salt and fine gravel and they call it gritting. Whenever the temperature looks likely to fall below zero they drive tip trucks down the road and dump a layer of an inch or so of the horrible stuff as they go. As a rssult British based cars rust prodigiously and quickly. A 14 year old Euro ZX would be rubbish.Cheers for now

would 30+ offset be ok on

18x8 rims? just concerned as reading sites like This that recommend a 35+ to 42+ offset. I've been told they fit a Z32 but you know there are alot of ignorant people :)Also is 18x8 going to be wide enough for the rears as i see most people have 8.5-9.5's

Offsets will depend on the width of the rim,

whether the rim is a "high, medium or standard disk" and to some extent even manufactures. An example of total width offset is my rear "standard disk" rims.
18x9.5 = +41 offset, but if my rims were 18x9" then the offset would have been +35 and if I had 18x10's then the offset would have been +47.All the above offsets would have given me a "deep dished" look where you see 65mm of outer rim.AndrewPS: Just checked the manufactures site of my rims, imagine 18x13" with a +23 offset, that's 130mm of visable outer rim 8D "DEEP DISH"
