Magnetic Sump Plug

    I recall reading some reference to a magnetic plug to catch small metal shavings - maybe it was the auto drain plug. Came across <A HREF=http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2478207300&category=33613>this</A> reference on eBay to a magnetic sump plug, and wondered if the OEM plug is magnetised as well. Anyone know?

    Pretty sure the manual trans one is

    dunno 'bout the engine one.

    the gearbox plug is magnetic, engine oil sump plug is not.Ben
