doors? This morning mine keeps opening and closing of its own accord. Which is really not good cause I dont want some of my less desireable neighbours helping themselves to stuff in my garage. Anyone know what causes this or how to fix it. Hasnt happened before. Im thinking maybe a nearly flat battery in one of the handunits throwing off a few erratic signals?

    This sort of thing >>

can happen when you get electrical interference.
In other words something or someone is using an electrical appliance/device that emits a frequency the same or close to what you garage door is set at.:YD
As for the battery, :?) I could not say, but I suppose that its possible. There's only one way to find out. Change it!:D

    try..

the battery first, what brand is it? most of the early ones pre bout 2000 just use the one frequency and were generaly set off by evrything from babie monitors to cb radios and cordless phones!! some can be changed to a slightly diff frq buy changing the dip switches in the remote and the opener. U may be able to contact some manufactures and buy new board and remote thats utillizes another frequncy all 2gether like in the 40 Meg range (bit pricey) in extream cases! also can put a electronic lock on most doors that require u 2 have a 2+ button remote and u will have to then unlock the lock (button 1) then open/close the door (button2).Hope that helps a bit!

    thats interesting...

cause I have a 2 button remote, but either button opens the doors. I was wondering what that was for. So maybe there is some way to enable that on my unit?

yeah I'd suggest altering the Dip code >

See if that fixes your problem. Depending on the brand etc. you will probably have to unscrew the remote to find the dip switches and match that on the corresponding dip switches on the unit...
If not, then probably have to contact your garage door people...
