I've recently started a new job, and while normally this wouldn't be anyone's business, my new employer is J-Spec Imports. They were in need of someone with a bit of brains, a bit of knowledge about cars and the import scene, and being a Z expert was an added bonus. However, working for an import broker and being a moderator on the forum can understandably lead to conflicts of interest under certain conditions, so I thought it wise to let everybody know so that it's all out in the open and nothing is hidden. While I don't foresee there being any problems, should any issues arise and people think that my behaviour in relation to something on the forum involving J-Spec is not kosher, they can either email me about it, or if they would rather remain anonymous, they can email Wykked who will then pass on your concerns. He's not afraid to lay some smack down on me Otherwise I will of course be subject to the guidelines as per anyone else on the forum who may represent a business, and while I may be able to help with some questions a little more than some, it will probably not involve mention of J-Spec and in fact I will be fairly conscious of the issue since I would feel fairly strongly about this were I an outside observer. The overall plan is that as far as the forum and I goes nothing will change, however I didn't want to give the impression that something was being hidden, and word always gets around anyway Ben

Congrats on you new job dude.... Thanks for the pics of the front lip for the Z. I think I'm not going to go ahead with it. I already have enough trouble parking!! And a fibreglass lip will keep cracking on me!!! Thanks any how.Just out of curiosity how much do you think I can purchase a 1991 NA or a TT zed from J-spec.I'm thinking of selling and zed and going for a 2+2 preferably or a 2 seater otherwise. would you be able to help me with prices?
So now we get mates rates right? :YD Would you believe I'm still searching for that elusive set of wheels :><
Oh ben, when you said announcement, thoughts went to, I met a girl and.... or I am getting engaged.....or I am pregnant.....
Cheer up old fella....... you're just not using your hot zed to its full potential. These cars are meant to be chick magnets. I think get her all finished, do a few chapel laps and you'll be cooking. I have a few single girl friends I could swing your way.................hey, hows that tech day writeup going?Cheers
Prices on Z's a reasonable 89 Z at the moment sells for maybe 200,000 yen and up, maybe slightly more for a manual. That's around $8,500 landed and complied. An NA will be slightly cheaper, and if you're lucky you can sometimes get a TT for even less than that. If you want to spend a little more then you can go for something in exceptional condition or something modified..... as an example, this is currently available.Ben
How many 89 Zeds left in Japan? Any guestimates?BTW: that's the 3rd posting of the pearl yellow Z this morning, shouldn't last long ... ?And CONGRATULATIONS, Ben ... on the job!
Great news Ben...>> hope you are able to move things along as Craig seems to always have his hands full.Once again, great news and I hope you make a fortune doing something enjoyable.CheersPS: I'll send you an email.
He he, looking for another two..>> Zeds for delivery later this year via J-Spec. Several friends of mine can't wait to get their hands on a zed. If enough interest (and I think there is) then I will keep purchasing.Cheers
