Recently bought a 180sx that is out of rego, has a bit of after market gear on it i.e.veilside front bar and side skirts ,pod filter, exhaust system and other bits and pieces.
Question is does it have to be put back into the original condition (stock bar, stock exhaust, etc) to obtain a blue slip to get it registered, or can it be registered with this gear on it?
    Cheers Ron.

Nope this is not an issue Ron

Just have to get the pink slip inspection done on it and it's all sweet... no major issues with the blue slip

If it has no plates on it , you will need >

a Blue Slip, but that can be provided by any authorised inspection centre, it does not have to go over the pits at the RTA. (Not in NSW anyway.)
X&S should be able to do that for you, do you know where to find them:?) If not there is a place at Granville, Ottotack I think.:D :D :YD Sly little Devil, aren't you:?)
I suppose it will have a 260Z front on it soon, ehh:?)Cheers

    No it doesn't have any

PLates on it,been 6 months since it was last registered. so what your saying is i can leave all the aftermarket gear on it and just obtain a blue slip from a authorised inspection station.
Aren't the pods, ground clearance, exhaust, bov, illegal, if so how's it going to pass.
No Ant still got the bluebird and the Exa and the pulsar and the Zed and the BMW and now the 180sx,
don't know how the BMW got in there the Nissan Co will be frowning on me. going to have to sell a couple of these, the place is starting to look like a car yard.:YD

An old Biker, shouldn't need to ask >

questions about "how will it pass".;) ;) The people at XYZ Automotive won't notice these anomolies, because they will have been installed by you after the vehicle was presented, won't they.;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
Are you trying to get me hung, you "Middle-Aged Bastard" you:?) :?) I think you've been terrorized by one too many Hyundai's:eek:  :`(P.S. I liked the way you side-stepped my comment about 260Z fronts. Cheers

No! Your not hearing what I >

am telling you.:-0 The RTA doesn't know what is on your car, because they don't get to see it, and the mechanic who does inspect it forgets to mention anything out of the ordinary.;) ;) ;)

As long as the vehicle is roadworthy/safe, who the hell cares. It will be "lost" in a jungle of modified cars (mine and yours included).
Do you remove ALL your illegal mods every year, when it's rego Pink Slip time??? I think NOT!!
Promise you will come and see me on visiting days.:`( 8(
