Hi people, How are you all? I'm in Melbourne for a couple of days, even though I haven't got the blue Z anymore, I'm still in the hunt for a new one. Anyway, is anybody turning up at Wallards this Saturday? I missed Jedi's tech day (really wanted to go to that one), but hope that I can meet some of you guys at Wallards to catch up on whats been happening. I also need some on hand advice on turbos. BTW, I have another car (a turbo this time) which will surely knock your socks off! Not telling either!

Check the details in the events forum and cowe down and say "HI" I'm sure we can answer any questions you may have and we would love to see your new "toy". I wonder if it is anything like Tay's zed replacement:?)

Its been a long time since I've seen this site, didn't realise the latest additions (event discussion).I'll be there in the "new" car, and WYYKED, how the hell did you know about it????? I won't tell what it is, but I'll be quite willing to give a couple of people a ride if they can stand it
Hey there Ron! Actually, I was suppose to drive to Sydney in the car but I don't have a lot of time as I'm going back overseas on monday and the car is reaching its 100k service interval (timing belt and among other stuff). Next time I come, I promise it would be in a Z

My car isnt that fast, well i think its alright but other turbo cars would beat me. only 1.8l so not very big engine, and i know i have a/some boost leaks, i got all the symptons.still gotta get that thing you mentioned pete and go to your house to blow up my engine (sounds pretty scary when put that way!)Ill be getting there around 10ish tomorrow, but with me being so bad with directions, i mightnt bet here till 10:15 or so

veilside front bar (well half now) And Revenge skirts/rear bar. I probally know who your on about with the silver one. and how i said 'well half now' about the veilside front bar, the bottom lip bit snapped off, again, so it looks fkn ugly as now, but i cant afford to buy a new front bar yet! So gotta cruise around with a bodgy looking silvia. imagine this (my car) pic of my car *click me* with the bottom half of the front bumper missing :N( Im quite curious to what car u have... oh well not too long to wait
BTW How does it feel to be driving a turbo?Going in a straight line may be easy, but turning while its still boosting (and wet!) is some hairy experience. Drove last night, giving the car a bit of gas from 2nd gear, almost lost it in 2nd and 3rd fish tailing (while going in a straight line).My car is suppose to have excellent handling, but even in the wet it was too easy to lose the rear and into the gutter. Luckily that didn't happen =)
cant push it in the wet just wont grip. and especially on corners, i dont have a death wish...I took a girl out to see american pie 3 last night, on the way back to her place, she asked if i always drove this slow/taking off slow/non-hooning etc, i said 'nah, i usally accelerate pretty quick then stick to the speed limit, but never with passangers in my car', she was like, 'ok then show me how it goes'. the roads where partly damp, not raining or anything, just a little damp, i start releasing the clutch at about 3000rpm from standing still, and the ass end just drifted out to the side.8-} i dont like driving in the rain with this car, just a little gas, when boost kicks in its so easy to lose traction.But wet roads with a rwd/turbo car makes u-turns so much fun
hahah so was her parents home? hahaha I remembered one of the guys here (Allan?) who drove a red TT did the exact same thing.Heck even I could easily lose it in the NA. NAs are no joke, and I had among the widest tyres you could buy, still didn't make a difference.One thing I would recommend is go track racing, you learn a hell of a lot about your car and how to really use it. That's what I'm hoping I'll do when I get another Z.
