Hi guys,My house got done over yesterday while I was at work - they took the usual, wifes jewellery, DVD etc musical equip and the worst part - my brand new Series II PTU!! I got back from the U.S. last Saturday and hadn't unpacked one of my bags yet, so the pricks just took the whole bag. I also bought blue lights for my parkers,interior etc - gone too, basically everything I bought over there they took. The only good thing that happened today is that I fixed my Zed, I suppose things can only get better. Catchas

Thanks man... the worst thing..> is that I live in a secure complex ie. has a electric security gate and the guy in the left unit was home and the chick to my diagonal right and no-one heard anything. The cops reckon they were in and out in ten minutes, no prints. My zed was parked in the garage with the keys in the ignition so I'm lucky they didn't steal it however they went right through it looking for money. The copper also reckons I would have been singled out because of the Zed - ie they think I have cash or something, have I got news for them and sucked in for not finding any. The worst things they took I guess was my wedding ring (only got married last September and my wifes 21 st and other family and sentimental jewellery. I think I have an idea who might have cased my place but not have done the job, I want to smash them! Must calm down - time for a beer!
Geeze, is your kama outa whack or.... ...something?, 1st your zed gives you the idea that it has died, then you find out its ok, and now you get robbed!. Maybe the car problems you had saved you from having it stolen, they might have thought it was still broken. I got robbed 3 years ago, the sneaky SOBs broke in one night after we had gone to bed, and cleaned out a lot of our stuff. Luckily for us it there was a raging storm going that night(the reason that we didnt hear them), so they didnt bother taking any electrical gear. The scarey part though, was I remember waking up to someone coming into the bedroom and standing at the door for a while and then leaving, and at the time I thought it was just my girlfriend(she was sleeping in another room that night), though the funny bit about it was the fact it was summer, it was hot, and I was laying naked ontop of the sheets!. Hopefully that sight encouraged the intruder to piss off
ouch, sorry to hear man looks like Zedders have been targeted lately. Its disgraceful. What they did was absolutely shit. . . any chance u can get any sutff back or et insurance to cover that PTU and sstuff?
sure it's not your neighbours ? A place I used to live in was done over by the guy who lived below me. He just monitored what times I went to work and then when I trotted off to work he climb up over the balcony and stole my CD walkman which was the only thing of worth I had back then.

Thanks guys...more details>> I think you are right Gazza, they would have seen the Zed come home on a tow truck the night before and when they went through it the timing cover was off, so they probably put it in the too hard basket. Chewy, I think you are dead right about the neighbours. Firstly my unit is in the middle of two facing rows of 8, everyone is cool who lives there(ie aren't renters). The only place left is a house outside opposite the complex which faces the security gate - lets just say the 3 that live there are young unemployed and have been acting mighty suspicious and they know when every person enters or leaves the unit. If it wasn't them then it was someone they called to say the coast was clear, rob at will. Hard to prove though because the coppers don't give a shit. The cops also said they will be back because I have a heap of pro music gear which they obviously couldn't carry out, so $800 bucks for a security system.Looks like Suncorp won't cover any automotive gear even if it was in the house - wankers, so no go on the PTU or other stuff. Anyway still got the Zed, life goes on at 7000 rpm.
Now that sux! I'd rather they took cash than something you've been waiting for and looking forward to for ages. Your insurance sounds like it isn't too good.
