Hi guys, i've got a set of robs dumps for my car but im having a couple clearance issues which worry me which rob and myself cant quite nut out if its my combo that is causing it. Rob has no engine in his car atm so we cant exactly coompare apples for apples, and he has different manifolds.

Has anyone on here got a set of robs down pipes fitted using AMS manifolds with gt2860 or gt2560 turbo variants, and can provide a bit of insight to me. Also anyone using this combo with BDE mounts.

My problem areas are that starter removal will require the pipes to be removed due to the extremely limited clearance (possibly manifolds causing this), and its extremely tight near the steering shaft (potentially manifolds and mounts).

I plan on having them ceramic coated so would rather know 100% if im worrying about nothing, if the pipes might need tweaking or if its my combination that is causing my troubles before I go any further.

    Thanks guys

Forgot to mention via PM I've got OEM engine mounts, MSP manifolds and .64 rear GT2560 turbos with the same dumps. No clearance issues.

Can you take some pics ? I have sz 3" expansion pipes and hks 2530's the driver side needed to be heated up and slightly dented as it was rubbing on the steering shaft , after that was done I've had no issues , the rgs pipes from memory have a longer collector that terminates past the starter unlike the sz that terminate before for easy starter removal "easy" as in doable but tight without having to remove the dump

Ill throw some pics up later today, definitely no contact with shaft so that might not be a problem at the end of the day, just to remove a dump pretty well will require whole exhaust due to trying to get enoug clearance to move dump back off turbine housing studs, big job, lots of stuffing about if the occasion ever arose.... but i guess now, after thinking about it, what really isn't a major rework on these

How is your Trans mount ? ... if this is worn the rear of engine drops a bit which effects clearance around the steering area.

Yep brand new, tried jacking it up at back to see if there is any difference but barely anything in it
