Mate why do worry about how much hate you would get? If you want to do that with your car then go for it! it is "YOUR" car. I got a lot of mixed reactions from painting mine with holographic flake in the clear coat I told everyone that it was my choice and if they didn't like it, then don't do it to there's
I personally think you rendering looks quite nice just don't be too upset if it doesn't look exactly the same in real life
