Well its worth what some one will pay,if they want it bad enough . So going on what is here to view $19000.00 You will get a lot of put you downs here, but don't take notice of haters ,Good luck and hold your ground.
iv had the same write up that you just read on JDM face book pages and in 20min had bulk hits and i just had a phone call from a guy offering $18,000 i had 20k on it. now it all seems so real and im feeling flustered
Agrees with Gunwarm, it is worth what people are willing to pay for, the sad reality is we could all spend $100,000 doing our cars up and if people only want too offer $10,000 then that's the market. Car owners worldwide all have the same issue, no matter what we spend unless it's a car so rare, we will never truly get back what we spend.
Yeah Totall get that and have had to deal with the reality many times with selling previous cars. Just thought I'd throw it out there as I actually am stumped on putting a price on this one haha
In material terms, $18k is very fair comparing to the general market and you're lucky to find someone willing to put that sort of cash down for a Z these days. I'm very sentimental though so if that was my car I'd be wanting $24k before selling seemed like the better option, looks like you've put a lot of work into it if all the details are as good as it looks at a glance (clips, trims etc.)
Yup totally get that I didn't realise it was as special as it is. I don't think I can let the zed go The response has been so overwhelming, I didn't think people would actually froth it as much as they have. I thought haters were gonna hate but zed haters loved it Surprisingly It's just as nice in person as it is at first glance hence the price I was asking. Ever clip every trim is there and perfect, nothing rattles and is held in place as it should. Thanks everyone for your feed back The zed will remain at home where she belongs
I also suspect the zed market may have turned a corner. I never realised how nice this car actually was either. First time i have seen some pics of it.
If I had put the amount of work & money into my Z, that you obviously have in yours, I would keep it until I passed-on and then I would insist on being buried in it(because, at least you would be remembered by the Grave Diggers, FOREVER....).:zlove::br:
Mate if it was me,and been as young as I think you are (DONT SELL THE Z) Like mine ill keep it as long as I live just to enjoy then when the time comes ill give it away to a decent Person worthy of it. I have a few toys that ill give away, but will hold out till I know im on my way out lol My dream car that I had years a go was full race track RTE38 Charger, after that a few wives then I got my last dream,my Z Enjoy life all its a true gift and its all up to you how you want it to turn out.Cheers Peter
Good god man Grayson, keep it if you genuinely love zeds (and there is no financial pressure to sell it) you put a lot of time/energy and money into it and if you do sell it and begin to miss it you will regret it then have to toss and turn about the prospect of having to go through the process again with another original roughy. Also good god man get your interior redone that tweed is hideous.
Good looking car, i could see it being advertised in the high teens.......wether it sells or not is a different story, theres not a huge market for top quality zeds / top dollar zeds these days gotta ask, whats with the wrap on the rear quarter windows. in WA that would be a yellow sticker (defect for youe astern staters) waiting to happen.
Awesome job there, good to see a no-budget restore but surely you'd be dumping a wad even if someone did pull out $18k! Love the car but wouldn't want to get involved in a bingle, if it's too low, has wheel spacers or incorrect tyres / rims, your insurance company (and the other party's) may well say you're on your own bud... which would be a real bummer if the other bloke wants $5million for his sore neck!
Thanks everyone The car is officially up for sale on many different sites. I have made a business plan for the next 5 years so the money from the zed will boost me in the right direction. I WILL return to the game there is no doubt about that with a bigger and better build , or should I say the zed game will never leave me haha
If you were really interested in selling your ride, you should of taken 18k right than! Nice choice of colour/bodykit, nice seats, nice chrome intake plenum, cool 300km speedo. Engine steel stock? Might of forge it while it was out, and while you were pouring all that $$$ in it? Receipts are always good to have when selling modified/restored cars to some potential buyers... Best of luck!
