My brother put some in a 180 a while back, basically the same story as all other cheap coilovers. They fulfil their basic functions but lifespan can be limited if you work them hard and they're not really a work of art when it comes to a balanced set up.

Also note that they don't give you camber adjustment on a Z because we have proper suspension.

    Spring Rates

It would be nice to know the actual spring rates instead than 25 - 30% heavier. Definitely not camber adjustable on the 300ZX.

This. Spring rates and valving prob won't match (each other and corner to corner).

If hardparking and just want low, they will do the job.

Had these on my first zed. Did the job for a year until the rears broke and leaked everywhere.

thanks for the feedback guys, still deciding what to do, might try and save a bit more, i have a sneaking suspicion that the f**ked coilovers on my car at the moment are MDU's. No idea how long they've been on the car though.

How do you use the car? What do you want to get out of the coilovers, performance, low?

haven't really done much googling for this but... (and stupid question so don't flame my ass)

Whats the best bang for buck coil overs for the zed that people are using these days?

I have no interest in ebay shit. I'm not a ricer looking for that stance look... I actually want to take it for some track days. (currently my stock shocks are borked and give me bloody axle tramp all the time) I'll have to get poly bushes all around too.

I rekon i'd want something with independent bound/rebound adjustment, dual springs... all that good stuff. Not so keen on a $4000 price tag or ebay shit thats going to break on me and send me into a tree.

    Thoughts? http://www.nitron.co.uk/pwpcontrol.php?pwpID=17759

if you want performance get a decent shock and spring combo.

if you just want low get king springs ultra lows and short travel shocks to match.

Tein Street Flex is good value for money. Not that expensive, not rubbish nor is it just for slamming a car on its arse.

according to their website, the only ones from tein that fit are "street advance" and "flex-Z"... which happens to be out of stock :( hope they make more

Its still pretty basic though... can't go past japanese quality though :)

Looks like they changed the model name again.

It's nothing fancy, generally you can get them around $1k landed. Will do the trick and much much better than any of the china rubbish on ebay.
