So while driving today I noticed that my ABS warning light came on. Brakes still work, but the ABS is not working as I was able to completely lock up the brakes when braking hard. Normally when I brake hard, I get a pulsating sensation through the pedal and no lock up. I check all the fluids in the engine bay and everything is full, no leaks. But I noticed that when I turned the car off, I could hear a humming noise coming from the rear. Turns out to be the ABS unit in the boot buzzing. So anyone know what the issue is and where should I start diagnosing?

    Thanks.

In my old NA I had to replace the ABS computer as it became faulty.
Anti Lock light continually stayed on and braking performance was unpredictable.

This happens in mine as well. The buzzing sound that sounds like it comes from the rear axel usually happens in the summer. But usually I here a buzzing sound like a electric motor coming from the abs unit behind the seat when I'm idling round a car park soon after starting the car.
