    pmac Z,, IT'S COMPLICATED!!!!!

Don't worry I'll be rebuilding these ones. Just e mailed JM Tech to find out the exact specs. Still pretty keen to high flow the standard set just as an exercise.
Unfortunately I don't know what happened to the original engine those turbos came from.

The story goes like this. Some young guy owned the car, started to modify it, big sub and stereo (crap job), paint (crap job), ) and rebuilt turbos (crap job) new rims (finally something good) bla bla bla . So soon as he had his turbos back on he cranked the boost right up and promptly melted all the pistons. Wisely he then gave up mutilating cars and sold it to a bird going through a mid life crisis. She then harangued her soon to be ex boyfriend into fitting a "supposedly" low km engine out of a Jap half cut, which he did a good job of. So she had it going for FOUR days before she firmly planted it into a brick wall 100m from her house.
Then along came some sucker (me) and bought it for $1800 thinking "yea, a couple of months and sheel all be sorted!!"

    Remove, rebuild, replace.

Decided to remove the the passengers side turbo for rebuild, should bring Perth smog levels down by a reasonable amount.
Tried the method used in the service manual but could not get one of the exhaust flange / manifold nuts. Pretty much started at this step because I knew it would be the most difficult to get at.
So had a re-think and decided get it out by splitting the housings where the CHRA flange bolts to the exhaust turbine housing. And it worked really well, only 1.5 hours and it was out. Doing it this way means you you have to remove far fewer components, ie - exhaust and dump stay in place, wastegate can be left hanging, didn't even remove the battery (would be wise to though).

Getting it back in was far more difficult, really just getting those two upper flange bolts in place and turning them took a lot of time and fiddling about.

Modifying this spanner was a great help, should have done it sooner.
Once they where in the rest was pretty straight forward.

Your best friend for the exhaust bolt , a cut down 13mm socket welded off center on a short extension ..
