Hey everyone. Can anyone suggest the best way to gather up all the stuff needed for a 200k timing belt replacement? I have seen the kit on the CZP site but with currency conversion and almost $200 in postage it works out very expensive. Can anyone suggest a better way? I'm thinking I can probably buy some of the stuff from local suppliers and maybe just order a few bits and pieces online. Any help or advice would be much appreciated MyZX
If you're still looking in two weeks I'll be able to send you a kit from Sydney. Unfortunately I won't have stock until then.
Hi Rob, It can definitely wait two weeks. Can you tell me which kit it is or maybe give me a link to it? Cheers, John
And discover that despite not having to pay postage from the US they're twice as expensive. (I don't know about timing belt kits but its usually the way).
I have been a bit slack getting back to you about the parts list. Tensioner and roller can be bought as a unit from Bayswater Bearings for about $140 NSK brand Water pump from Bursons for $80 Brand NPW no substitutes for this brand except for Nissan OEM Timing belt Rollers/bearings from Bayswater bearings NSK brand for about $40 each. Timing belt Gates, Bando, OEM brand, Bayswater bearings $80 NOT Dayco.... cams seals x 4 Bayswater bearings $2.50 each Crank seal Bayswater bearings about $ 4.00 each Crank gear from COZ or Ebay about $25 4PK 1015 Drive belt from Bursons $15-20 each 4PK 960 drive belt 4PK 925 drive belt ( if its a TT) 3PK 925 drive belt ( if its an NA ) Thermostat use OEM Nissan only, From COZ. Coolant Bursons Tectaloy concentrate 1 litre Oil filter Ryco is fine, Bursons Oil, 15w40 synthetic Bursons The guys at BAYSWATER BEARINGS will have all the P/Ns etc just make sure you give them the full details of the engine. OR buy a kit from Rob. I had a discussion a few weeks ago with him about these parts after we spoke.
I bought a 2k bumper from Dandenong Nissan for pretty much the same price as what COZ charges, but without the shipping cost. How about we let this guy actually give it a shot first, hey? Currency conversion and shipping costs aren't exactly working in COZ's favour right now. Sheesh.
