Anyone bought a fiberglass product from Carmate Sydney. Some of the FB comments are that their product is substandard.

Do a forum search for that brand. There is info out there that may also assist with your decision.
I have no first hand experience, but others have...

I remember i brought a front bar off ebay. quickly threw it in the bin. Was never going to fit. Pay the price or pay twice.

    :agree:

Some fit, some don't - you take a risk when gambling with these sorts of things. (Hence you often many vastly hear different opinions from Z experts)

Always best to try and source the product your after from reputable suppliers like Z1 or CZP etc, then you simply email or ring them and ask them if they recommend the product and whether there has been any fitting issues with them.

Places like these only survive on customer satisfaction and anyone who thinks they are just sales and don't know how to build 900hp monsters, doesn't know them at all. Guys like Coz at CZP are able to match parts in store and also get feedback on all their products - if something doesn't fit, its probably off their shelves after the first couple of sales as they don't need bad customers. They can also tell you if the issues were in the past and whether they have upgraded over time etc. (which can make some posts advice/ irrelevant!)

If you cannot get it at a reputable place because of a particular style you like, then you have a gamble ahead of you and it will probably be as ZEDZY quoted - "you will pay twice" - Choosing a particular style sometimes means gambling

I can only think of saying "good luck" when it comes to gambling ;)

Besides, then I can sell you a cheap GTZ III poly lip instead !

    Cheers

I have used car mate products in the past and they all needed work to make them fit.

We used carmate rear bar and skirts on Cara's zed. Fit was perfect, as in didn't even need tape to hold em on for test fit.

with the shape of the z32, the front bar seems to be the bar that fits poorly with some fibreglass parts.

its got quite a few corners and complex angles which often have poor gaps and looks shitty if not right. the front gaurd / bumper join where it comes to a point is a particular issue

as far as carmate goes, i would probly not use them as ive got a few friends who arent comlimentary about them, but i have never purchased anything direct so have no first hand experience to offer.
