Hi Guys, I just installed two WBO2 for my Zed. But I cannot find a good tuner for our Z32 in HK. So.... I try to get my Zed tune by myself. :br: I need some suggestion of the tuning. I use Shell 98 Oct. V power all the time and here is my timing maps and Fuel maps. and here is my logs I think it is still running too Rich for my tune. Should I lean the AFR to 11.5? and any problem with my timing map? I'm targeting to run 14-15psi with stock turbo, stock injectors fuel pump.
Is your CAS set to 15 degrees? If it is that timing map is too advanced. I'm running 16-17 degrees at full load on 17psi.
I do think my CAS is 15degree. At leaset conzult shown is 15degree. =/ The timing map is come from Japan ECU come with the car. I did not touch with the full load timing. But I think I better to reduce timing to 17 degrees and lean the fuel and boost to 17psi. =)
I had a Japanese tuned ECU (SWAT chip), the timing map was very similar to yours. I would just reduce the high load timing back to around 16-17 degree's, get it to around 11.5AFR as its very safe and boost to 16psi or so. Also where are you measuring AFR's, at the tail pipe or before the cat? Readings will vary depending on this.
I did put the WBO2 in stock NB sensor location with innovate O2 heat sink. I don't really know why the Japanese ECU have such these aggressive timing... But let me reduce it and boost to 16psi when full load. =) And let me try 12.1 AFR~ =)
ideally you will also check that the timing mark on the pulley is correct too, with a factory pulley this is a formality, with some aftermarket pulleys it's more important.
I changed to aftermarket UD pulley. Ralcon RZ one, before I get it on my Zed, I check the timing mark is correct. =) let me try with the timing light and see if it is 15 degrees.
Fatten it to 11.5:1 you will loose power (small amount) but worth it. Put you sensor further down the exhaust aswell it easy if you can weld. Well done for doing this yourself you will learn heaps but get addicted hahaha
I copy someone timing map like this. I lose some high-end power. but gain a bit power at the low-end because this map advanced some timing on 800-1600rpm. I will try to lean out the fuel tonight and see what will happen on my Zed. :zlove:
Spent a night for tuning, I lean the fuel to 11.8 when it full load. :zlove: will try to give her some boost these few days.
After the AFR and timing tuning, I need help... My Zed seem normal when I do the waste gate duty cycle ( up to around 8.9psi, AFR sitting at 11.9 and it is stable ) but when I try to give some boost close to 14psi, my Zed suddenly lean out the fuel, it is start from Left band of Cyl. ( please forget about the nistune naming... when I discount innovate MTS, nistune named RAFR for my Left WBO2. ) the injector duty cycle is seem normal. like this and when I keep push it with lowing down a bit boost level. I find out AFR lean out from left band and right band as well. and it will suddenly lose all power, and power drop like hit the wall. Is my Fuel Pressure Regulator/damper problem or my fuel pump? I really worry about run lean at high loading...
one more question, if I put Walbro E85 400 litre ph Fuel Pump in tank. Do I need to bypass Fuel Pump control unit? or bypass relay? or just find a way to fit it in tank and leave Fuel Pump Control Unit work as is?
Wait... If my Zed got ignition problem... Fuel didn't burn at all. All Oxygen still remain in Cyl. And go thur AFR with exhaust gas. Will it be possible to run Lean like this? Because my Zed is still using 1.1mm spark plug.@@!
If your leaning out under high boost on that map its a K-Value issue I think. also gap to .80 before doing any more runs.
