zed has been written off as of today. front end is gone but most of the car is still good. pm me if you want anything from the strut tower back

haha i know rightm tried like 5 times and kept having to delete posts, lucky rollin knows what hes doin. but the zed is clean and straight and comes with the blue velour but im getting rid of all that for tweed and using my dash and most of the slicktops interior
new plan: since this new shell is so clean vinyl wrapping is now off the table and i dont have to bugger around with bodywork at all except buying a 2k bar. purchase n/a rear subframe, replaces all bushes if needed. strip and paint subframe. remove hicas solenoid from bay and remove all lines completely,relocate the ptu. 265/45r19 for the rears and 235/45r18 fronts, yet to decide on style but tyres will be kumho ku36. buy exhaust system and dumps. buy more clear side markers and 2k replica tail lights off jordz. ill use the vg i have now, the harness is being ditched for a brand new one, no more piss farting around with the gremlins that plagued the 2nd slicktop. its being done right the first time. detail the bay before motor is in. while i have the motor out i might as well do whatever needs to be done, possibly port the stock exhaust manifolds a little bit along with the upper and lower plenums and ceramic coat all of them, respray the cam covers. convert to manual. buy double din, new gear knob and both handbrake and gear boots, another polished fuel filter and bracket off rob260. got new led's lined up for the cluster. i expect this new project to take around 6 months before completion
Kōmori Z コウモリ (Bat z) Well after the disappointment that was my second slicktop, I have returned. Purchased a 2+0 targa na manual with what appears to be a canary yellow respray (done well, might i add). I have ripped the na out. Been stripping the bay ready to be sprayed black. relocating obvious things like ptu etc. Been stockpiling parts, few goodies for a nice daily. 2.5in split dumps. 2.5 in full exhaust (unsure of brand) gt28r cores in stock high flowed manual housings built for previous owner by Eric (a2zed). Exedy HD clutch kit. Czp wiseco piston kit with the full gasket, timing kit etc has been ordered. Ams manifolds will be my Christmas present to myself Purchased Lenso 18x8 matte black mesh rims with the red lip last week, virtually new tyres, but buying another set of Kumho ku36's soon enough. Replaced majority of interior with all the good tweed bits i had left over, as with boot plastics. Parcel shelf is shagged (as per usual) but my tool box nestles in there perfectly, so can't complain. Using the na block for the tt rebuild. Block is being sent to Auster engines to be bored to 88mm, acid dipped and decked within the month. Going to either port the na heads or find stock tt ones (most likely stock tt) Buy new stock tt injectors, New tt fuel pump. Obviously all of the bits like boost controller etc are on the list. Will have this ready for the trip to zedfest. I'll post pics in the morning.
Picked up new turbos today off of forum member dydy, extremely happy with purchase. Stock manual high flowed housings with gt28r cores. Compressor wheels look huge compared to stock, especially in stock sized housings. Will compliment the 2.5in split dumps nicely. build is progressing slowly, but smoothly. Went searching thru the car and found near 3k worth of receipts from wayne park automotive and few other places for work since dec 2013, has new bushes all around, timing kit and water pump. surprisingly well looked after. The yellow has grown on me. It will stay.
the zed I picked up for a steal a few months back. Stripped and primed the bay today. Getting closer. pics never seem to work for me.
