HI..Guys Just wondering if any one can help me out. After getting a code 34 error I figured that I either had a problem with the knock sensor or the harness that runs to it. Hooked up a 1M Ohm resistor to the ecu side of the harness and the error went away and code 55 returned. Went out and bought a new knock sensor and new harness and proceeded to relocate the knock sensor using the bolt location near the firewall. Rechecked error codes and code 34 came back.. I'm stumped.. Any ideas..?
Think it was OEM..though I bought it so long ago I cant be 100% sure . I'm thinking it might be a grounding issue as I didn't clean the sensor base or use dilelectric grease.
