You are going to be in for a BIG surprise when you have an engine with good compression. Remember the figures! A recently "rebuilt" engine should be around the 186 psi mark on all cylinders. Around the 142 psi mark, it's rebuild time! Be selective, the appearance of the engine tells a tale. If has goops of sealant all over the place & the bolts are mismatched & appear to have come out of a salvage can, chances are it's a clunker.
:l Ran another compression test today with a little bit of oil in the cylinders and the figures werent much better. Time to make a decision, Is it better to recon the heads with new gaskets/seals and do all the deletes and repairs while im there? Or just drop a new motor in? Thanks in advance Sean.
