arp head studs

    so recently i bought arp head studs from cpz, they didnt come with torque specs do these use the same specs as stock or do these have higher torque specs ?? they arnt the l19 ones either

    Use same as stock torque. What head gaskets are you using?

    Probably stock or maybe plan on getting Tomie head gaskets still undecided. Already have stock so will probably use them

    don't go with stock tension, there's no point using arp studs otherwise, and it may not be enough for them, they need a higher tension to clamp, being designed to have a certain amount of stretch, here you can find the specs http://arpinstructions.com/instructions/202-4308.pdf

    I thought the point of using ARP studs is that they don't stretch, and are therefore re usable, whereas a lot of factory head bolts do stretch, and are not recommended to be re used.

    Also to the OP there is a specific procedure both for installing the studs, and torqueing them correctly. Always read the instructions. Cervus has posted them for your convenience :p

    I've done all my engines this way and never had an issue.
