I have a tt 2+2 and have done a full rear hicas block/delete.

Everything has been removed and I have capped the line coming off the reservoir and blocked the feed from the back of the pump.

When the car is running it only takes 10-15 minutes and the reservoir is so hot you can't even touch it and I loose power steering.

I am wondering if anyone has had this happen before or if I have done something wrong in the process of the block/delete.

    Thanks any advice is appreciated.

Check the tech section and type in hicas removal and click the " Power Steering Pump Modification / HICAS removal " , that might help you see if you have made any mistakes.

seem to recall you have to de-vein the rotor that feeds the hicas?

This sounds about right, either that or some hicas delete kits come with a fitting so the rear housing is just pumping round and round.

Check the tech section - you either need to de-vein the rotor, or you can remove the pressure valve (ball bearing and spring) and loop the feed. I've done the second option and its been fine for about 7 years now....
