Hey I'm now proud to say I own a 1990 NA :) I'm from Bundaberg, Qld and will be spending a lot of time here! Plans at the moment are just to replace any broken/worn parts under the hood as well as interior wise, get her tidy. Mechanically she runs pretty smooth and I'm not to much worried about increasing HP :D these cars are amazing.

Welcome to the disease of the Zed, it will consume your brain and turn you into a mindless Zombie.

Never fear about asking questions no matter how silly it may sound or seem, pay no attention to the trolls and their mindless drivel, also don't take some of the sarcasm too seriously, some people on here have a sarcastic sense of humour .

The tech section is a good place to reference info as is google as it will more than likely point you the page in the tech section or to one of the many Z forums worldwide.

No worries, enjoy the disease. Post some pics of your pride and joy , and always check the "For sale Z related " posts, lots of goodies crop up and most of the people will post if your happy too pay postage. Also some good links for buying stuff even though they are overseas ,even with shipping can sometimes be cheaper than buying here in Australia.

Welcome, looks like a nice Z you have there! Good job doing a proper clean to the inside, takes years off the car. :) Don't know if you're able to travel down south, but let you know that over Easter next year the Nissan Datsun Nationals will be at Morgan Park, Warwick. Going to be a massive event! :)

What others have said is correct - if you have a problem, check the tech section and do a search first ;) then if still unsure feel free to ask questions, plenty of knowledgeable members happy to help out!

Do you know if the previous owner was a member of this forum?

Would be good to see some other perspective shots of your car - is it 2+2 or 2+0? Stock or aftermarket wheels? Have they cleared the rear lights?

And yes, owning a 300ZX is indeed an addiction - enjoy! :zlove:

Well as I said I'm mainly concentrating on just replacing damaged or worn parts and any maintenance that needs attention. In the long run I'd like to have my engine rebuilt but am yet to put too much brain power towards that, get some bigger brakes, better clutch (though the current stock one is performing quite wonderfully) all in all though nothing too special. Eventually reupholster the grey vinyl that the previous owner thought looked nice with some alcantera, get 2k taillights, HIDs, a lot of the normal stuff people want but for now just very basic plans. I would LOVE to have some ttop shades though -.- that would be nice.

Welcome to the insanity we call home.
Very nice looking ride you have there, congrats.
Keep an eye on the "For Sale" section as parts are coming up all the time.
One thing these cars do is teach you patients, as you have to remove 5 things to get to the last bolt to remove something.
    Happy Zedding.

At first I thought gmbrezzo had made a spelling mistake and was suggesting you need patience, but it's probably quite accurate - you may very well become a patient after being driven insane by your beloved. :p

Welcome to the family! I am quite new myself and the forums have already taught me quite a few things like retensioning seatbelts and how to remove the complete front bar section when I stupidly jacked up on my radiator support

Enjoy the car, they are amazing and get looks everywhere you go. I took mine out for her first daylight cruise yesterday and I had more people staring at my car in 1 hour than I have ever had in any car I have driven.

Nice nose panel by the way, that is one of my next upgrades planned.

Thankyou :D indeed I've noticed the looks, I also own an e46 and it's nice but it does blend into the sea of cars on the roads. Ha I'm pretty confident I'll be replacing my nose panel with a stock one and rep a Z badge on it :)

Haha good pick up on that one :d I muffed it. Let hope we don't see more mangled fingers like we have in the past.
For the new guys, timing belts can bite.

Let me know if you do decide to get rid of that nose panel and what you want for it. Happy to pay a fair used price.

    Cheers
