Ive got the right hand pod with the cruise control on/off on it and the bit that goes under the bonnet. Is there anything else I need?

    Yep.

You need the cruise control computer, the under dash pedal switches (for brake and clutch pedal if manual) and the steering wheel horn pad with the cruise buttons. Plus the know how to make it work.

Is your car auto or manual?

Theres a good tech article available

I havent finished doing mine yet.. about a third of the way through, brought the wiring through from the actuator, through to the inside of the cab but stopped there as i have not had time to complete it. Wiring in from the engine bay was a pain as there was no connector available. you will need to mark your wires carefully etc.

Read the tech article, very well written and very helpful. Look up ASCD, in the forum tech section.

    good luck.

You also need a steering wheel power steering sensor ring with the ascd plug. I bought the entire ascd setup years ago but got stuck when I discovered the plug on the ascd computer was different to the one on my harness because of series differences and never got around to figuring it all out.

I just installed a Command AP500 cruise control on my patrol a few months ago and if I were to try to put cruise on the zed Id get one of these again, they are excellent. I also got the CM35 memory stalk that makes this thing better than most oem cruise control units. The reason Id go for this over oem is because it can be used with original buttons, has an electric actuator instead of vacuum so can eliminate a hose, and the big plus; the cruise control unit is completely user programmable (from the cruise control buttons) so you don't need to go to a dealer to tune it to how you want it to perform. It was about $900 with the stalk and clutch switch from Autobarn and I installed it myself over a weekend. The other great thing about this one is the CM35 stalk. It has 2 memory buttons that you set for your most common speeds. When you want to use the cruise control you just press the speed your after and that's it. No need to set the speed yourself!

As per everyone elses comments - you will need the computer and switches as well - rather than the stock buttons / steeringwheel setup - CZP are now selling the RHD Cruise stalk - I installed that into my car - needed to swap the plugs over to match the S1 loom, but works great.
