    Ladies
Does the 732 black have a gold fleck through it?
Noticed some of my panels have a gold through them. Some don't.
I.e drivers front guard, bonnet, front bar don't

    Cool

Perhaps the fleck is stock then.

I guess so as far as I can tell my old bomb has never been repainted it needs it though:D

Rob, you Z did have some body work and painting done. I can't tell you exactly, but I do know a truck hit the drivers side door with it's tyre and put a nice big crease in it. Andy had it repaired but from memory had another panels done at same time.

This would explain why they don't all match.

Wow. How bad was the hit. Sounds bad. Wonder if its actually straight?

They obv never matched the paint too well..

Going to put a new front and rear bar on anyway, will fix this mismatch. :p

Wasn't that bad, no paint was lost. It just put a big dent in the door skin. Yeah the match wasn't that good. But at the time Andy always planned for a full respray (that of course never happened).

Mine has a gold fleck through in and it has never been touched. I got some paint mixed up by code for a vented bonnet and you could see the fleck in the new paint in the pot.

732 is a metallic finish ... but i do not know that i would describe it as a gold fleck .. ???

    Cool

That makes it sound better Jonno. Prob explains why the front guard didn't fit properly either.

    Cool thanks all.
I only noticed it as I was up close and polishing it the other weekend. It looks good and its prob not gold just the light reflecting in a weird way..

Either way I reckon I might save some pennies for a full respray :D

    Now to find some pennies......

When I'm at work on Saturday I'll get you a list of all the colours in the paint :)

I know there is 3 different 'recipes' for 732, and each one has different colour metallics in it. I just can't remember what colours are in them.

It's the same with KG2 -each variant has a slightly different hue. A ****ing nightmare to match...

the 732 i used on my zed is also known as DIAMOND BLACK MET. it has silver mica flake in it..

i hate matching panels when i do my cars so i blow a coat over the whole thing, so hat is matches only a trained eye would notice a difference if you didnt do it (under fluro lights you will notice it easily).

different brands have a slightly different mix..

yep, I would agree with the silver fleck as the best descriptor.

It is a silver metallic, however some cheaper clear coats are slightly yellow and can give it a goldish look. It is a nightmare to match.
