    hey guys.

stripping down this TT engine i bought.
its an automatic engine if this helps.. the dumps i pulled off are 5 stud.. every other VG i stripped down had 4 bolt dumps.

i can upload a pic if needed of the turbos, but they do say GARRETT which i know is a factory turbo, but the rear exhaust wheel seems alot bigger than on my last set up so wondering if there was a difference with turbos, other than the obvious that the manual had slightly larger turbos or have i been lucky and gotten upgraded turbos?

All OEM VG30DETT turbos are 4 bolt. They are aftermarket.

the compressor inlet looks exactly the same as that, it doesnt have the bolt on inlet like the OEM so its aftermarket. how would i find out what model it is?
it says M24, but no other markings than garrett

measure the exhaust and compressor wheel the best you can (preferably with verniers)

put pics up of front and back

just compared to a gt28 I have laying around and its identical.
same size inlet and exhaust wheel size.

    seems like they are gt28s..
just the inlet is a 2.5" opening not the flat type that has the bend on it.

also.when putting my 4 bolt dumps on, the exhaust and wastegate holes are wayyyyy to small for these turbos whixh I remembrr my old t25 hi flows being the same size.

so these seem plenty bigger than stock but I dunno.

    Too small to be GT28 (GT2560, GT2860, GR2871)

41.7mm exhaust wheel would be the same as gt2560r (gt28r)
    that's a T25 wheel

the compressor being around the same (40- 42mm)would also be a T25 wheel

    gt28 compressor wheels are 46.5 and 47.2

    At a guess its a T25 with .48a/r (t25)housings

    like an old hks 2510

ok so just re measured properly and took a few pics.

my exhaust wheel is 47mm ish and my compressor wheel is just over 46mm.
does that help? is there a branding of any sort on the turbos that will lead me to know exactly?

    T28's (wheels)

cant tell what your housings are though .

if the housings are like stock size,
turbos will be like highflows with gt28rs wheels.

    if the housings are bigger,
    they are basically like a gt28rs .

housings seem largerr than stock hence why I started to notice something was off but wihout seeing a manual turbo I cant say. they are slightly larger in size compared bok choy gt28 I have though.

so to find a 5 bolt dump for these, how will I do that? buy one for a gt28r?
