Ok guys when I accelerate or decelerate( engine brake) or at idle its all fine, but when I back off just slightly The clutch goes straight to the floor then if I back off more or accerate I have clutch again. Before I get the do a search slamming, I did and have been reading posts for years and not read similar. Thanks in advance Trevor
clutching straws (pardon the pun) but could be something to do with the clutch booster not building vacuum? Might be a leak there somewhere?
Have you checked all the lines? Have you done a full bleed on it? Is it leaking anywhere? also as advised check all vac lines for the power assistance.
This is a common problem on the fiat Ducato vans I get at work. Clutch sinks to the floor and won't come back up. Basically check the clutch booster for leaks as it is not building enough pressure for the clutch to return. Check and lube the pivot points on the clutch pedal (HHS grease will suffice) check the booster or leaks and do a full bleed. If the problem persists id be looking at a new slave or clutch booster. (Slave usually goes in the fists as they combine them with the throw out bearing, stupid design I know.) See how you go.
