ACT ACT formal convoy 3rd december

My youngest son (15 in year 4 High) has asked if I can arrange some Z's to take him and a few friends to his school formal on Tuesday 3 December at 5:30pm - venue Old Parliament House.

I've told him that he has left it a bit late, but if anyone is available and wants to get together to show off our Z's, please let me know and I'll start to organise it.

Previously we've met somewhere close e.g. National Library, then dropped off the kids then gone and taken some pix. The picture below was taken on a similar occasion a couple of years ago.

Thanks for all the enthusiasm (esp from Lil Baz ) sorry about Whoppersandwich. Just goes to show - lots of good things happen in CBR. (Sorry to ride on Katie's train).

Anyway, all is going well. They have moved the drop off time from 5:30pm to between 6 and 6:30 because about 20 girls had hair appointments that clashed!

So about 5:30 we can meet near the Nat Library, Questacon area. There are plenty of carparks. Sort things out, who is in what car. Wipe off the dust, then get in the queue about 6 and drop off the kids some minutes later.

If it's raining we could probably meet in the New Parliament House carpark. (Unless it's full with other party-goers

I'm organising photographers at the drop off and afterwards we can meet for the traditional photo op and if you want - dinner or a barbie.

Please let me know if that is suitable and if you want dinner or barbie.

I guess we get to redo it 2 nights later with a different venue same area.

 

I would dearly love to join in guys but the zed has just passed its 12 months no rego time and i would need to get it rwc again to drive it.

on the other hand, if you need extra cars id be more than happy to bring the mighty ZILLA!

Having battery issues... Float charger on green yesterday arvo... Switched it off at 4pm yesterday, and tonight at 6pm (26 hours later) there's not enough power in the battery to fire up the engine...

Think my "NEW" battery is stuffed!?
