Changing the alternator with nothing but a set of ramps and a supercrap socket set. My missus kept calling me inside while i was under the zed trying to get the pivot bolt out. I ended up getting frustrated and blew my stack at Shene. Ended up explaining that i was just getting pissed off at the car. My face when she went out and wrenched the bolt off straight away. I still maintain to this day that i loosened it
I've done both of the heater hoses and hard pipes with the plenum on. Should have taken that sucker off lol
Have you done a heater core with the dash in yet? I've done this twice on two zeds not fun... It's more getting the hardened rubber grommet out of the firewall and the stupidly designed 10mm bolt holding the two pipes together onto the HVAC unit. Driver seat out is a must
I personally think Craig HATED removing the heater core without removing the dash in my zed..but from what I have viewed with his work..I'd have to say installing my polished hardpipes into the silicone joiners wins this one.. ...something so simple, but every time he'd get one end in the other would pop out..I think the hardpipe literally needed to be cut a little shorter..but geez the words that came out of his mouth that late night, shit I thought he was going to kill someone (actually I thought he was going to throw the hardpipe across the street)
got a few that werent fun. in no particular order lol. egr removal wastegate vac line removal/replace. clutch and brake pedal install/remove and the all time winner for me (WORST JOB EVER!!!!) cutting the passenger side sill and enough of the floorpan, front wheel well and rear qaurter panel of with a 9" grinder to repair a accident damaged car.
Yes indeed "yoga practice" thing is though it to me a while to realise I was siting on a bolt for the seat
Again, resealing the sump with engine in and clutch change by myself on stands would be the worst I have had to do (so far)..
changing the engine harness, coz there's that stupid little cover inside up high on the firewall holding it in place, you have to remove the blower fan to get to it which requires disassembling the passenger side of the dash (didnt put it back in) its stupid and doesn't need to be there ontop of that removing stock dump pipes requires tiny little hands and cut down spanners have to pull the motor half apart just to change fuel injectors changing the rubber hoses on the fuel pump without dropping the fuel tank down changing the moldings on the targa tops REAR SUB-FRAME BUSHES! man that job sucked EGR delete with engine in and plenum on actually, polishing the plenum.. 22hrs of sanding and polishing for what? a shiny plenum that needs constant repolishing... whos idea was that? i think that was the dumbest thing i did to my car
Once they are on...they must never be taken off again lol... Hahahah...mind concentration > pain in the arse
The first time I changed dumps in car it took me a week... I kept the modified 13mm ring spanner I made and did it for the second time in a day. pretty happy with that. Easier on an Auto when you can reach down through the clutch master cylinder area.
