So I bought some gauges today which I have already connected. They all seem to be working fine however they are only useful during daylight, ha!

I'm not too confident in regards to where to wire the illumination wires too. Some have suggested the head unit, but I really want the gauges to illuminate just when I have the parkers or low/high beams on. Where do you guys wire the illumination pos/neg too?

I have the gauges coming out of the dash pad. Any assistance would be great!
Nothing really on Google or Tech Section.

Most of the time I've seen gauges wired to a common body earth somewhere up under the dash, and the positive feed from the stalk (rotary knob) itself. Have you tried finding the positive feed wire coming from the right hand pod. Should be grouped in with the white plugged loom.

Look for a GREEN wire with a RED tracer (stripe).
The earth wiring has to be connected to a clean UNPAINTED METAL section of the body frame structure.

Yes I would go for the Green/Red (Light Switch Feed) which I do believe is Battery Fed from Fuse 3 (CLEARANCE ILLUMI 10A) on an S1.

Thanks guys! Tested the gauge by just wiring into my clock which worked fine.

I will look for the green wire with the red tracer around the side pods and earth out to an earth point. Again, thanks for everyones help!
