So my glovebox doesn't sit level when closed (see pic below) -it sits slightly lower on the passenger side. How do I adjust this? It gives me the shits...

I think you loose and raise the bracket at the bottom near the hinge. I've always been pretty slack when putting glovebox's back on and it ends up looking like yours :p

I'll have to look into it...

on a side note there is a piece of plastic trim that covers the hinge/bolt area. How is this normally secured? I was surprised to find mine had been installed (at great cost per hour) using cable ties...

Normally with crappy little plastic clips things that always break.

Press in/out type clips? They're a pain in the arse but cable ties are a bit of a messy alternative... it's not fun cutting and retying every time you want to access behind the glovebox!

They are like plastic dynabolts.. Im not sure how else to explain them. If you cant be bothered replacing the cable ties everytime, get reusable ones.

    Agreed! Very classy.

What's the display in the middle for?

Thanks for the compliments. The digital display is a digital dash of sorts that linked to the vipec ECU. Does data logging, alarms, you name it...

Hi Rob, Chrispy is on the money, the bolts holding it on at the bottom usually have a bit of movement in the glovebox position, if its not even then it will be pulled to one side when latched in the top, upper latch can also be adjusted slightly if i remember rightly.
As to the retaining plastic screw/clips, i can keep a set aside for you if you would like the factory ones (free). they are a little irritating to get out undamaged and i can sortof understand a workshop in a hurry tearing the strip out and breaking them.

It just shits me every time I need to access behind the glove box. These things are just such a pain in the ass to live with, every time I need to do a glove box pull I put it off for weeks. I'm holding a tech day soon so everyone can get together for glove box removals.

Held together with zip ties may be the look done are going for but I find it kinda tacky. Out of sight out of mind doesn't cut it either -if I'm putting something back together I prefer the "right" way to the "near enough" way.
