I bought it off of member Gibbon Tamer, who freighted it to me from WA. I pulled the aerocatches OFF to get to where it is already! Hateful things! I haven't glassed in years, it's going to be a fun job
How does the bonnet sit though? Not lifting in one corner? Wouldn't be the first time people have put bonnet pins on to straighten out a glass bonnet
I haven't fitted it yet (too many things on the plate with the car that I need to get on top of first) but Huey told me it does lift on one side. I've heard of a few ways to bend it down - hot water bottles, or leaving it out in the sun with a weight on it. Not sure what the plan of attack is yet.
I had one, never had an issue, even when pulled up while it was half glassed, also had no secondary latch, hence having the aerocatches, oh, and they were also holding down the lifting side
No they're not allowed. If anyone says anything I'll say it's a modified stocker - the underside will be painted by the time I'm done with it, and it's smooth as silk not all rough like the inside of most fiberglass components. They might not believe me... easy to change back. Not really worried.
Can i please have the contact details of the place you had the engineering work done. Im in exactly the same situation, my car is largely standard but it import version no side impact door protection etc
I didn't want to spray tan my interior I started with the dremel but got sick of snapping discs so I cut the sections out with a soldering iron.
