    sounds like immob.

so you turn the key and nothing happens? no dash lights/fuel pump

Negative post being loose or not seated properly can also cause the above "deadness"

Check your negative terminal post and connections.

Reseat the connection until your lights come on, then check it turns the ignition and/ or adjust until it does.

    Check ignition switch circuitry.

is it possible that there is still a tilt switch immobiliser installed from the alarm? Would not have thought that a jack would lift the front high enough fr that but if all else is exhauasted may be worth looking for.

I had the same problem a little while ago - front lights come on but no dash lights and would'nt start. Same story in that all I did was raise the car - lol

Took a while to work it out and I did lots of hair pulling -but turned out it was the negative post loose - reseated and it started.

Thats the reason why I mentioned it before. No guarantees thats the problem, but worth checking since its quick to find out if thats the problem and it will save lots of hair pulling.

    Goodluck dude!

It's not smart to post that here. there are a lot of dishonest people in this world.

Maybe he has a boot monkey instead - there more effective than an alarm!

thanks everyone..turns out I must have bumped the crap wire running to starter motor. which then shorts out 30 amp fuse. ...
