If I get another cluster would that fix it instead of messing around resoldering wires ???

It could also be your speed sensor.

New box including new sensor? can also be the wring harness from the sensor to the control box. In fact this is my problem right now and I've just ordered a new speed sensor and might have to replace the wiring from it to the control unit. There's a diagnostic procedure in the manual to test the sensor, just remove it and put a multimeter to it to see if its within specs while turning it by hand. Either this or the solder in the speedo needs re-heating for you and I both.

It is prob the resolder as when I put my foot down the speedo did a sudden jump 2 my speed that I was doing but the hicas light was still on

Yes that's what mine does too and my transmission is also new but the sensor isn't, when I get it in the mail I'll let you know the results.

The box just got rebuilt and I got it second hand I had the same prob with my old box aswell and I don't think he would have pulled out the speed sensore when he sold it 2 me so I'm guessing it it the cluster

Ok man I'll first see if it's the cluster so I may try get a 2nd one then if that don't work I'll pull the sensor and give it a look
