Once I had my carpet pulled back on the passenger side to get access to the computers and found that the main ecu had one screw loose was squeaking I was Stella happy I found that ! It was like a new car with no sounds lmao
yes but there is a fix for that Here try this stuff madcow:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Scotch-B...539?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a07e787db :br:
Try lubricating the rod going through the rubber grommet in the firewall, but use vaseline or something that won't affect the rubber.
Here's a strange one - I thought it was a fan belt slipping and squealing but only happens in cold weather when the engine is cold. I've tightened all belts and makes no difference. I'm now thinking either a/c comp or viscous fan clutch. Is there any way to test this clutch off the car? Or what else could it be? Idler bearing ?
Hmmmm could be a lot of things... Try have someone stand listening when do start it to zero in on the area?
If it sounds like This then your pivot ball needs lubricating. Mine did this for ages before the head of the ball actually sheared off leaving me clutchless at the lights. Gearbox needs to be removed to get at it though, definitely a fun job.
I've got a squeaky noise on the back left hand side of the Z. It only really happens when going up and down rough sections of a road (pot holes etc....) Do you guys think it is the suspension or something else? Any help would be great.
Cold starts only, reversing out with clutch engaged makes a whirring noise. Once i take my foot off the clutch (disengage) it goes away and doesnt come back until the next cold start.
Clutch Pedal squeeeeek Squeeky clutch pedal... last time it did this for a while and I got it reconditioned (slave and master cyl) and it fixed it for about 8 mnths then when it came back the 2nd time the little ball end of the push rod snapped one day up in the Dandenongs and oops no clutch whilst changing down before a nice twisty section lol... so got it rebuilt again and now it still squeeks?? grrr!
