    Hi all,

Just recently my 300zx out of no we're started running really rough, wile driving and idling, then after it done that for abit the exhaust warning light comes on, (. The one with fumes coming off a engine part) I have had some exhaust work done on it but that was easy 6 months ago, iv read that it could be a sensor but not sure, where should I start looking and is it safe to drive wile it's doing this as its my only car and I need it for work? It's a 89 z32 import
Any help would be much appreciated As I'm currently at work and it did it on the way to work?
    Cheers :s

    hey,

had the same thing happen to me on friday. car started running rough and cat over temp light came on. (exhaust light with fumes) means that unburnt fuel is burning in your cat.

check your connectors on the coilpacks etc, one might just have come lose and just press it back in tightly.
that did the trick for me.

the warning light is for your catalytic converters, they could be blocked or it could be that you have a fuel problem and their getting too much unburnt fuel

Depends how far you intend to drive. It's a bloody Warning Light mate, it's intended to tell you something needs attention, sooner rather than later(it's not just left-over Xmas Lights).:rofl::br:
