Apparently (as mentioned in earlier posts) they can be complied and registered still... So if you do happen to own a licensed 2000 model, it may very well be 100% legit... I actually know someone with a 2000 model slicktop, manual licensed here in Perth. Unsure as to how it was licensed, but it came from over east where it was licensed also... I'll get some pics!
Who cares about the rebirthing suggestions? 2k zeds are still going for like 30-35+k in Japan, so they're not about to come here in an importation frenzy. I don't see why some rusted '89 shitbox zed can be on Australian roads, but a pristine 2k model can't be. And if I own two zeds that I paid for with my own money, I don't see why I can't swap the numbers around? It's not hurting anyone.. Cheers, Kirill

I was asking for a list of distinguishing features that sets the 2k model aside from all other models is all. I know of all the obvious visual features ie: 2k bar, 2k tails, xenon headlights, dark grey tweed like interior, different seats depending on the pack, white dials on dash etc... I was more wondering about subtle differences between the later models. No probs with the pics too. I'll get some later on today! What exactly would you like pics of? Would you like the vin number to check also?
This is why I want to clear up all the rumour and myths on the 2000spec models once and for all. I have found out heaps of information on these increable cars that To list everything would take ages. My build thread will cover probably 90% of the changes made to the 99-00 Z32s and I will be comparing the old parts with the new parts, so everyone can see what Nissan changed over the 10 year production line. I can list a few changes made to the 99+ models that the 97-98 didn't have; Lower Chassis Support Rail (Underneath the exhaust pipes) Bigger Brake Master Cylinder White/Gold Instrument cluster with red back light lighting Red Stitched Air bag steering wheel 99spec front bar 99spec Side Skirts 99spec Spoiler 99spec Tailights 99spec Centre Panel 2kspec Xenon Headlights (99 Optional, 00 Standard) 2kspec Illuminated Drivers Power Window switches 4 different coloured interiors Oranged Lightup rear marker lights (Rear Bar) Black Z centre caps on Z32 chrome 16x7.5 rims That's all I can think of atm.
Ah yes so that is another ? answered on that subject for me, as I didn't get a chance to ask you if they light up or not when working on your interior last week. However I have recently done the rear marker conversion on my Z32 and unfortunately the way yours was done dean is not the OEM way. The OEM loom should travel through 2 small hole on the either sides of the rear chassis section right where the markers are positioned on the rear bar and not through the spare wheel area like yours was. Also the markers where changed to an Orange light/reflector and not a plain red reflector which the USDM used from 90-96. Its the same thing at the end of the day though so If it works it works.

Private sale. Owner imported it back in 2002. Been in the same family ever since! Was registered both over east and here also... As far as purchase went, right place, right time I guess. I have been mulling it over since purchase and as much as I love the fact its a 2k model, I really wanna buy another car I can pull apart and modify/upgrade. I wouldnt feel comfortable pulling this thing apart as its just soo nice! Drives like a new car As such, it'll be for sale again soon most likely. Just wanna hold onto it for a little while longer just in case I change my mind
