If the 'hazard' lights are flashing and the alarm light is flashing and the car won't start chances are... the car alarm isn't deactivated

You need to press the button on your immobilizer remote so the light goes out. Then it will start.

There is sometimes a manual key turn style unit in the engine bay that will deactivate the alarm, however if you dont have the remote chances are you wont have the required key...

with most alarms, there is usually also an override button hiding somewhere ;) I would imagine this may help..... maybe

ok well i have the key to deactivate the unit in the engine bay but when i do this i still have a same problem, also i found under my steering coloum a black box thing cabkle tied to it, it has 2 dials on it with two lights, you can easily unplug the wires coming form it but doing so dose nothing and the dials seem to do nothing, it dose light up?

The only thing the key does is silence the alarm. You need the code or the remote. Even if you unplug the immobilizer the car is still not going anywhere since the loom has been cut up to accommodate the alarm.

Question - why do you have the car and not the alarm remote?

Find the remote, take remote to a key cutter or locksmith, they should be able to code you a new remote or at least sell you a remote and instruct you on how to code it to your car (usually involves pressing buttons and moving the key around in the ignition).

Yeah 3 posts up, he found the remote. Short of having an auto electrician completely remove the alarm/fit a new one finding the remote is by far the best way to fix it.

Yes, he should get his existing remote put into a new fob enclosure or get a new alarm fitted.
