  1. 1990 300zx twin turbo 5 speed manual 2+2 with glass targa removable roof, Sierra red with 120k kilometers on the clock. Excellent car that has never given me any problems, runs like a dream and is incredibly quick! Heaps of fun to drive.

    Good things:
    - silver 17 inch mags with brand new, low profile types on the front.
    - brand new front mount inter cooler with chrome piping
    - pioneer combined sub and amp located in the boot
    - Sony xplod head unit
    - after market engine immobiliser with keyless entry
    - 100k full service carried out where timing belt, belt tensioners, water pump, cam belt pulleys, variable cam gears, all cooling system hoses (including heater) and thermostat were replaced. Fuel system serviced and coolant flushed at the same time.
    - have receipts to show all above work
    - mechanically excellent

    Not so good things:
    - plastic cowls that sit just below the windscreen need replacing
    - has some dents on the front left fender where it had a run in with a cyclist (he was ok)
    - needs new rear tyres
    - some of the vynal interior needs replacing (only the small patches in the rear behind the drivers and front passenger seat)
    - clock only works intermittently (this is typical of all 300's and is an easy fix)
    - small worn spot on the driver seat.

like i said this car runs and drives beautifully and apart from the clock, everything on it works, which is quite rare for any car of its age! it will certainly not disappoint. Has Queensland rego until 19/8/2012. $6000 firm.

I can't seem to post photos from my phone so send me a message at 0422 926 020 for a pic or I will post some up later on when I get home.

Quite a reasonable price for what you've described. Shouldn't have much problem selling, goodluck.

  3. Thanks for the kind words Jamie. I've priced it for a quick sale, unfortunately I need something less thirsty for the lengthy commute to work

  4. I should also mention that the car is located in the ACT, not Queensland.

Why is it in Qld rego, did you move recently?

  6. I bought it from someone who had just moved from Queensland to the ACT and had the intention of driving it until the rego ran out, then swap it to ACT. The reasoning behind this was that they only give you a partial refund on the remaining rego, and as it had a fair bit left i wanted to get as much value out of that as possible, all of which the previous owner was fine with.

I have the receipt from the previous owner showing that i have purchased it from him, i also have a passed vehicle safety certificate (rego inspection) performed in Qld in 2009 when the car had done 102,567 km's, so i see no reason why it wouldn't pass it now in the ACT (besides the rear tyres).

anyway, pics can be found here:

  7. Few things the car has that I forgot to mention in the ad:

    - performance exhaust with hotdog mufflers
    - pod air filter
    - new heavy duty clutch installed a few thousand k's ago

    Cheers guys

I will be posting some videos of it later on today at the request of several of the forum members.

Mate i have to say this is a very well priced zed, for the work thats already done and the maintenance been carried out(100km service) it's just getting sad the value on our cars, i paid almost this amount just getting my turbo's rebuilt, 100k service and plenum pull with bypasses, best of luck with the sale I'm sure it wont last long at this price.

  12. Thanks mate, here's hoping you're right!

It is a real shame that its getting to a stage were you can barely give these cars away! they are absolutely fantastic machines and are now in the same price bracket as a old crappy commodore! doesn't make sence.

  13. Car is now sold, cheers guys.
