any one got any ideas as to what could have introduced enough current to melt the earth wire on the transmission and make the bleeder pipe for the clutch so hot it melted any conduit that touched it and send it black in spots??? the main power feed for the starter has no signs of destress and all its armor is in place and looks fine... also all the main fuses are in tact again with no signs of destress. anyone ever had this or any idea where i should be looking for the problem..... any help would be great cheers magsy
Could it be exhaust heat causing it ?. If it was doing it due to power you would think you would be blowing fuses.
no its not the exhaust it started a fire and due to the exhaust wrap you can touch it... this happened very quickly too lie 1 street of slow driving and had a fire on my hands... the curious part of it is the bleeder pipe and the g box are isolated via the rubber hose between the slave and the hard lines
no one have any ideas?? will get it all fixed up and back together but really really want to find what caused it
Check the main -ve lead. It sounds like the connection to the body (stud on the fire wall) is in tact but the earth to the engine might be high resistance
