Off the back of the boot popping alarm thread... new zed = new alarm....

    What have you go?

not talking any old keyless alarm I want a propper complete alarm meaning

    Boot popper actuator,
    keyless entry
    Auto window winder when locked

Optional but prefered motion detection thing/window breakage

Anyone have a stand alone kit like that? I know you can combine a few kits but I prefer if it all comes standard as 1 unit.

remote keyless start is just wank factor and fail factor on a manual

I would recommend the Viper security system...one of the top models have the features of boot opening as well as shock detection and a few more. As for remote start on a manual...it can be done but obviously will not work if the car is in gear as it will stall lol my friend had it on his Holden VL. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Wouldn't that be the FIRST/MAIN thing you'd want in an alarm system???

Agree with ignoring keyless start, it's a sure way to void insurance.

i dont think there is any kit on the market with everything you are after..

i would stay away form viper kits.. they are known for remote start and none of them are to Australian standards unless you want to manually wire in a relay to make it a 2 point/3 point immob.

personally i would be getting a mongoose m80g as it comes with glass break and it also has dual stage shock sensor.
an actuator and a relay for the remote boot release.

auto window wind up is still an option from mongoose. the good thing is when you go to get it installed, tell the installer to wire up mirror fold in too.

the m80 comes with the central locking relays built in so you dont need to buy a stand alone central locking kit.

might even be worth wile getting a tilt sensor put into it.

other thing available is GPS tracker/pager
    http://www.mongoose.com.au/gps-tracking.aspx

might cost alot but its pretty sweet..

i personally like mongoose because they are designed for AUS/NZ standards.

Thread dig.. is the Mongoose M80G still the way to go? Got a new car (I'll post pics when it arrives.. sure to generate more hate than Trav's SS :D) which might be difficult to replace in a hurry.

Seen someone on Boostcruising offering installation for $350 with a 5 year Warranty up in Brisbane, anyone in Sydney able to do the job for that money?

PS this should probably be moved to NZR Mods.

they have to be set up first, in that you have to turn the car off and pre set the start sequence so it knows its out of gear so when you walk back to the car you can start it. Im just about to install a crime fighter alarm system

    LINK

and i think that has the addition of the window sensor if you want it.
wasnt too bad a price either.
I mainly liked it because of the proximity arming and disarming so i dont need to go to all that hassle of finding the controler in my pocket, pulling it out of my pocket, finding the right button to press and using either of my 10 digits or 8 if you don't count thumbs to attempt to press one of the buttons in order just to unlock my car..... tedious!

but its also a 2 way so if im in coles and someone is in the car I can page them and ask if we have milk at home, if i wanted to be a douche I could probably also set of the alarm just to annoy them from inside the shop.
it has an engine anti hijack shutdown so if the car starts I can shut it down from the remote and its got a built in turbo timer. I didnt get the additional sensor for the windows though, but I'd wonder how easy it would be for an electronics expert to make one up for it??
