Hello my zx was working fine this morning untill I wanted to go get some lunch, my cr dosent want to start it will turn over fine but just dosent want to start, after researching it I think it may be my ptu as it Is the first model of them and they say they go when u reach about 100ks which I have reached also for about 6 months I have been experienced a chugging/ skluttering feeling to the car it only happens when accelerating at low rpm but u can defently feel a great loss in power after 2500 rpm it usaly comes good again this inky happens every now and then. An yesterday I think my car stalled wile driving( it's a auto) and then suddenly came back to life so all these things kind of point ne towards the ptu am I heading in the right track and is their anything else I should cheack

    Cheers :)

Sounds like it could be a good place to start.
Remove the two bolts that hold a coil pack in - any one of the four easiest ones to get to.
Remove the electrical plug, lift the coil out of its place and plug the electrical plug back in.
Rest the coil so the end of the stalk is near the manifold (5mm away or thereabouts)
Get someone to crank car over, if there is spark it could be another issue, if there is no spark then the PTU or its connections could be the smoking gun you are looking for. :)

I had similar problems, yep replace the series 1 ptu with a series 2, also as i found out on Saturday/Sunday my battery was crapped out, had enough power to turn it over but they can die a very long slow painful death, so try a new battery especially if yours is old, make sure you get a decent one with at least an min 470cca up to the max 600cca, repco have them from $150-$200 and make sure it's not a high set one or you won't get your bonnet closed properly. Then get a good tune.
