Yea just replace the plastic bit. Not super common. Just don't be rough and it's all good :)

Near on impossible to find 2nd hand. Very common breakage. It's the "holder rod"

    Conceptzperformance or z1 maybe...

have sent a set to rob260 to get fabricated out of metal.
Can also use those out of an R33 skyline, with a bit of modification.
    1. Brackets have to be reversed, in that drivers side on the R33 is to suit the passenger side of the Z32, and visa versa
    2. Due to step 1, the rod retaining clips have to be spun 180-degrees (will be self explanatory once you hold the clip in position.
    3. The hard bit. You will notice see that there are 2 locating tabs on the key barrel, with corresponding slots on the tabs. These ensure that the bracket turns with the key. One tab is larger than the other, to ensure correct fitment of the bracket. As you have reversed them, you need to file the slot in the bracket out to suit. Simple 2min job with a small flat file.

Re-assemble and never worry about them snapping again. The brackets are simple to remove from the R33. Most at the wreckers will already have the door trims removed, and the handle doesnt have to be pulled from the car to access the bracket. Last set cost me $5

Its for a LHD drivers door or a RHD passenger door.

Both of mine a broken and have to use the central locking. When my battery died, I had to crawl through the hatch. Not fun and pretty embarrassing because I am not the slimmest dude in the world lol
