Since Im doing a colour revamp on the exterior of my Z...I decided to do some interior bits as well......I made a new double din centre panel and had it painted in factory colour....im getting pretty good at making these things...will do a 'how to' post soon....opinions???
not that difficult to make.....just time consuming and messy once you start sanding....this one will be staying in my Z
WOW! Fantastic results right there! Possibly one of the cleanest looking double din mods i've seen. the finish is very new and glossy looking. Well done to you sir! Can't wait to see it fitted and with a sexy double din sized head unit in there to fill it up.
It doesn't get better that. All i can say is "Yuummmm" Hope mine comes out as good as that one. Looking forward to the "how to"
That looks amazing. Can you tell us a little more. I'm guessing you did the standard cut and fiber glass.....what then?
once the fibre glass is set, i used spray filler......4 coats with a sanding in between each coat of filler.....very smooth finish...will post a how to thread soon
Would you be able to make copies of it? If so im sure you could get a lot of customers especially me...as that is really good looking and shiny Abraham
Im in the process of moving house and moving approximately 1700km in the next 5 weeks......when we are settled I will start doing 1 off custom double din panels for people, one at a time....will keep you posted
