http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=289243 Easier to link to the old FS thread. After the sale fell through last time, I decided to keep it but circumstances have changed again and it will be sold this time (and I mean it this time - I have 3 kids now so they don't fit). It can be test driven, it drives very well (turned it over today and couldn't fault it). It now has a bit cracked out of the rear bar from where someone hit it in the garage. No idea what hit it but I'm thinking a trolley jack/something heavy - definately not hit by another car - you couldn't get another car in there. There is a rip in the driver seat leather (maybe 5cm or so) from a stupid belt too. Question: 1/ I have moved and forgot to change my address with Q Trans. so it's unregistered now. How much and would anyone be interested in buying unregistered? 2/ I can get a RWC and am confident it would pass - I actually had one done but it's out of date - but I am having trouble getting any time to register it due to what I have going on and how long I'm at home/away now. Would a RWC make it worth that much more? Cheers
i dont think the original 11k was too far of the mark value wise. thats with rego, take a fair bit off with no rego sure, purple veilside zeds dont float everyones boat, but it looks nice in the pictures and its got lots of good gear on it. its still a TT manual regardless of other mods
I can vouch for Trent - straight up honest bloke. I paid up front and brought a urethane front bar from him - then I took 3-4 months to pick it up (QLD floods happened inbetween and it was a bitch to get out to his place). In the end he actually drove out to my place about an hour away to drop it off for me! I have been over the zed myself, I almost brought it - only circumstances prevented me from doing so. It might be fair to mention it has been kept in top running order - it was in A2ZED getting a few small things done when my engine swap was being undertaken by Eric earlier this year. Certainly worth someones while and consideration having a look at this unique zed. You wont loose it in the car park on the next cruise! :zlove:
I would personally get it registered... Puts less doubts in peoples minds... As a seller, you want to make it easy for the buyer. A very nice looking machine tho. I'd say you should get around 10-12k registered. Keep it on the market for as long as it takes. Advertise in car sales and Gumtree. Make sure your ad "sells" the car. Hell AK's zed sold recently for good money and it was a fully customized bright orange interior and exterior. Just takes the right buyer.
Thanks Ben, I'd rather be known as honest than otherwise. I may as well get it registered in that case guys.
