Going to go through regency soon with a car i just bough already on defect (yes i know illegal) but the door when you open it, it drops down a little. I have tried lifting it up from the end and tightening all the bolts, helped a little. Any suggestions to try before i take it to a panel beater to fix? Also my horn is not working? Well not, not working i do not have one, i went and got a horn there were a few loose wires sitting in the stock position hooked them up but did not work? Any ideas what i could do to find before i run a whole new horn setup??
It is likely that the hinges are rooted. they will need to be replaced. Check fuses and steering wheel connection for horn. Get a multimeter, even a cheap one is essential for electrical trouble shooting
There is a way to fix the doors, it involves a jack, and a piece of timber to spread the load across the base of the door. Be very careful. For the horn, take it too a auto sparky, they will sus it out pretty quick
If I remember correctly you have to remove the front wing to get to all the door hinge bolts, ( can someone confirm?) If the door is dropping a lot you may need to replace the hinge(s) but you should be able to get OK ones from a wrecker.
