Hey guys just a question, my z is running on 4-5 cylinders with the very odd occasion running on 6. As you can tell it's an intermittent problem.

First thing I checked was the ptu, it has a series 2 in it but has been converted from a series 1. What are the input/output voltages so I can check that it's working & has a good connection ?

Next I'm thinking it could be coil packs.. What is the easiest way to test those ? I've just had new platinum plugs put in it also.

Lastly I'm thinking injectors, I did have a onboard injector clean done as this was my first guess at the problem. Also the injector connectors have been replaced, maybe a loose wire ? How would I test it ?

Any help would be great, or if there are any other things I should check ?

Double check your injector connectors maybe retension them. see if you wobble them if the miss goes away

Did you have the problem before changing spark plugs? figure out which cylinder is not firing and swap plugs , Just because you have put new plugs in doesn't mean one isn't faulty, swap plugs to see if it changes cylinders.

Yeah had the problem before changing plugs, I changed them I'm the hope it would fix it..

I'll check out the injectors, if I unplug the injector connectors 1 at a time to isolate the problem is that ok ? I won't damage the injectors will it ?
