There were a couple of threads about this a while ago but I dont think anything was actually posted that would definately fit.
Hopefully the people who were trying to find one back then have found what fits now and can let me know.
My son is now 6months so don't need to know a backwards facing seat (wouldnt even try that in the zed) so does anyone know of a forward facing one which will fit safely in a 4seater zed.
Also as far as the anchor points go all i seem to have is one in the middle which i'm not sure if is a proper anchor point for baby seat, can anyone confirm this? if its not how much is it to get one put in?
I obviously don't plan on making the zed the regular family car, the falcon can keep that job but it sucks that if the wife ever take the falcon (she can't drive the zed due to it beign manual) I have no baby safe transport and It would be nice to sometimes go for a drive in the zed with the wife without having to get my son babysat lol.

    In the same boat...

My little girl is now 7 months, so it'll be nice to go on family days out without having to always take the camry.

I have decided in getting the Safe n Sound Compaq baby seat. Its for the upright position and is designed to fit into small compact cars or sports cars. The bucket seats in the zed rear do pose a problem, but after following my friends advice, I'm going to pack the seat with some old towels to level it out and then place one of those leather car seat protectors that you can get for baby seats.

As for the attachment points, there should be two attachment points in the boot, behind each seat. They should have been put their as either part of aus-compliance if its an import or there as standard if aus-spec. From memory, there are two little slits in the boot carpet, and the mount points are under there.

    So..

The car seat you will find at any baby place, baby bunting, Mothercare etc etc... I think from memory that the Compaq comes in at $245 at baby bunting.

As for the attachment points, you'll need someone to weld in an attachment for you. You could probably also use the mounting points for the targa straps, but they are further away from the back seat.

This has proberly been covered elsewhere - but I put my 2x year old in in my 2+0 and sit him up on a booster seat. Is this legal - stickly speaking?

Yes it's legal in Qld but not sure if a booster seat would be properly restrained for a 2x year old as the seat needs to have a harness, the guidelines are listed in the link.
    http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Safety/Driver-guide/Child-restraints/Child-restraint-laws.aspx

If the car has one row of seats only (for example, a ute):

    * a child of any age can sit in the front seat if the vehicle has only one row of seats provided they are properly restrained. If the vehicle has a passenger airbag fitted, a rearward facing child restraint should not be used.
