Hey guys. Kurtis here. Been looking at buying a 300zx for few years now! Finally getting one! Pick it up Sunday! Bit about myself. Well I'm head chef at the local pub. Love working on my cars only days off. Just recently got rid of a few projects to concentrate on the one. Currently rebuilding my Holden 202. I'm on my p's so the engine hasta look stock. So I'm gonna put a 235 stroker kit in it and replace all internals with stronger more reliable items as il be joint the compression. Anyways the project is the holden vk which will take up the next six to twelve months. That's why I'm buying the zx so I have a daily. Bit about the car... Well I don't know alot of the details but here is what I do know. It's n/a which is my only option with these stupid new sa laws restriction p players. It's manual. It's a 2+2 but the rear seat has been removed and is registered as a two seater. I'm told it has adjustable suspension. As to how far they went with the suspension I won't know till I get it home. But it's very low! Too low! Has big mags.... Not sure on sizes but they look pretty shit anyways. Engine is completely stock. Was imported by the current owner and has only been driven by a lady every second weekend. Only has 98000 ks on the dial. Its silver. Has cracked windscreen, broken air con compressor and the front bumper needs a respray. It's only gonna cost me 4 grand. The goal for this car will be well first I want to get a body kit. Considering going the wide bodykit.... No spoiler! Hate the dam things! Full paint job in a nice high gloss black. Set of big rims with a deep dish. Interior il take to a guy I know and get it fully redone and modernized! Suspension il prob redo as I think it's more of a racing set up. And I want to use it as my daily so need something a little softer. By the time all that is done and paid for I should be off my p's so il do something in the line of performance. I'm thinkin either twin turbo replacement engine or do like a 2jz engine swap. Anyways guys just thought id say hi n once I pick up the car il post some pics etc. Cheers for reading... Kurtis.
Lol yea all it is is they removed seat and they have replaced the carpet and placed a sub and speaker there.
Welcome aboard. Spearkes and Sub is a good use for the back seat as there is not a lot of room back there.
plus the suspension is a racing set-up .. maybe one fast old lady driver ... lol... welcome to the Forum .....
Yea fair call lol the kms are prob way out like most 20 year old cars. I know it's a female owner n I recon her hubby prob did the car up a little for her. Well if it blows up il just have an excuse to replace the engine sooner! what a shame!

Welcome. It will be good to see some pictures of yer Zed when you pick it up. Did you buy it unseen off eBay? Brave man. I've done that with cars before. We have some South Australian friends visiting us over Easter. Their names are Jas and Michael. Do you know 'em? South Australia is not a very big state so they must just live down the road from you right?

Picked it up today. Long drive! Well it's low! Very low! Like it's a squeeze to get my hand between the guard and the rear tyre. The front I can just get my pinky in! It's got very stiff suspension. It's adjustable and he said If I raise it it will get even stiffer!?!? Was great o. Fuel and didn't skip a beat! Only problem had was the high beams stuck on! Wouldn't change back to low beams anyone had this problem? Il put plenty of pics up in the morning
Yep, I pulled the high beam / indicator lever mechanism off the steering column and opened it up. Had a lot of gunk inside and on the electrical terminal inside. Cleaned them up with some electrical solvent spray and a rag and was good as new.
