    Hi Ross,
The 4/2 pot or 2/1 pot setup?
Definitely won't be RDA pads then. Is the car your daily driver or just a weekend toy? (ie. how aggressive in pads can we go)

    Regards,
    Greg

Sorry, I should have mentioned, it's the 2/1 pot setup. It's my wife's daily runabout so would need good bite when cold.

No dramas at all. I'd go the QFM HPX, which is a Bendix Ultimate equivalent performance wise, but low dust and rotor wear. $79 per set front or rear.

Unfortunately though just sold the last set of fronts on the shelf, will have more stock in 2-3 weeks, or else we've got a stack of other options we can quote up on if you need pads before that.

    Regards,
    Greg

Hi Greg, can you give me a price for a set (front and rear) for the QFM HPX and also the A1RM to suit supra 2pot front as mentioned.
    Thanks,
    Ross.

    Hi Ross,

With regards to pads, we're slowly phasing out the HPX in favour of a brand called Remsa, which are good for 650 degrees (or 100 degrees better than QFM HPX or Bendix Ultimate) and low dust and rotor wear. Remsa is what we've been supplying to performance road cars like Porsche and Audi for years, and we're slowly replacing our HPX range with them as there's generally only a few dollars difference, and include items like a soft stick on shim kit (which reduces noise dramatically) that the QFM's do not. I haven't advertised them on the forum yet, but will be by next week. They still work form dead cold etc, and I personally run them in my iLoad van. Remsa to suit are $85 for the front, and $79 for the rear, and both on the shelf. Or else HPX, which are still on back order, are $79 per set front or rear.

A1RM to suit are $119 per set front or rear. Shipping is free when you order front and rear pads together, or else $8 per axle set individually. I wouldn't be going A1RM on a pure street car though, it's pad used for light track work, and as such the slightly higher than normal rotor wear isn't really acceptable in a road car.

    Regards,
    Greg

Any tips for bedding in the remsa pads?? Will be installing them tomorrow straight after the discs are machined.

Nothing special for the Remsa, I would just suggest something similar to QFM's procedure:

The idea of bed in isn't to put heat through the pads, it's to transfer an even layer of pad material to the rotor, so just be consistent with your application of the brakes during bed in and you'll be right.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if it was different due to their high temp rating.

Yeah buggered if I know how they did that... I've checked not only out order to them, but also the invoice they sent us back, and even that said the correct part number, so it's just purely a picking error. The correct rotors have left today and should be there tomorrow. Any dramas at all just let me know, and apologies about the inconvinience!

    Greg

    Hi mate,

Apologies about the late reply. The beginning of the week is always a write off catching up from all the emails over the weekend. If anything is ever urgent best to call us.

Easiest way to order is credit card over the phone, 1300 884 836, or else PM me your details, full name, delivery address (preferably a work or business address!!), contact number and email and I can fire you through an invoice with direct deposit details.

    Regards,
    Greg
