i have a 90 na zed just curious as to what advantages of swapping to a series ptu are? is it just less prone to problems?
series 1 ptu's die with no warning and are twice as big series 2 more relibable neat little package ! swich over while it still running member vader dose a GB for them and maybe has a spare one or two PM him he would no where to look for one at a great price and heaps of info to fit it yourself easy regards wayne
oop's i did mean vader runs a GB. i must have dose on my mind as well. wasnt even sure what it was till the thread. sorry vader if you guys need them send him a PM and with what numbers you have allready he would probably start another he runs a smooth GB highly recomened cheers wayne

i too must upgrade to a series 2. i have had one ptu die in bout 6 years of having my zx. since then i bought 3 working s1 ptu's for $30 all up. now i keep one in glovebox and couple of spares in the workshop at home. cheap insurance. but either way i must stop being lazy and upgrade
Also, just incase anyone needs to know. the R32 PTU plug fits the S2 300zx plug. just need to sus the wiring
heaps better revs easier,idles better ,and pulls harder ,i put one in my 89,na manual ,,and it made a heap of noticeable, difference
